Lexington United Methodist Habitat ProjectNEWS as of 09.29.07All work to be performed by volunteers from the churches has been completed. Anything remaining will be performed by Lexington Habitat staff or the Amigos group.The dedication is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday, October 14th. See you there!
This year we are on East 2nd Street. We will start the project on August 7th at 8:00, and work most days (except Sunday of course) through September 15th. We will not work on Labor Day. Lunch will be provided at the site each day. Regardless of your skill level, there is a place for you on this project! 2007 marks the 12th year the United Methodist Churches of Lexington have joined together with Lexington Habitat for Humanity to construct a home with a Habitat Partner Family. While some of our UM churches' involvement with Lexington Habitat goes back to 1991, the churches joined together in 1996 to build a house and have been doing so ever summer since.
