Lexington Habitat for Humanity marked its 20th anniversary in 2008 and completion of its 300th Habitat Home. Seventeen Habitat Homes were built in Lexington in 2008 by thousands of sponsors, donors, volunteer groups, and Lexington Habitat staff.
Each year Lexington United Methodist churches join forces to help Lexington Habitat for Humanity build a house in a local neighborhood. In 2008 the UM build celebrated the construction of its 13th home.
Starting in August, 2009, our project will be to build a four bedroom, two bathroom, house for Keisha Garlington and her family. You may read the family bio here.
The build schedule with on-line volunteer registration is now posted -- so register ASAP!.
